S.J. Perillo is a poet and botanist. S.J. lives and works in London and had another animal poem, ‘Whale-cloud’, published in Fiona Waters’ anthology, Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright! ‘Tightrope Walk Team’ is one of S.J.’s favourite poems. She wrote it one night in Singapore whilst keeping an eye out for the snake that lived in their garden. S.J is working on illustrations for a first poetry collection, but “drawing can be harder than writing!”
