You illuminated manuscript pages by sages in the middle ages
and, later, greater paintings by Renaissance aces.
You helped decorate the home,
from China to Rome.
But most of all, beyond your fame,
I just really like your name.
Thanks vermilion.

Harry Glass is a Year 6 primary school teacher in north London. He teaches Blue Class, he did teach Red Class – given time, perhaps he’ll work his way through the colour spectrum. A lover of comic and nonsense verse in particular, he regularly writes children’s poems on his blog (harryglass.tumblr.com). He also has lots of fun creating performance poems with his class, and writing and singing original songs with them on guitar and piano.
