If I were a giant,
I’d pop the clouds like balloons
with my umbrella
to make a clear blue sky.

If I were a giant,
I’d consume the whole moon
in one big bite,
replace it with a cherry pie.

If I were a giant,
I’d use a spoon to scoop up
snow from rooftops,
like vanilla ice cream.

If I were a giant,
I’d catch the shooting stars
and set them on treetops,
like diamonds that gleam.

If I were a giant,
I’d weave a thread of dreams
to hang outside your window,
as delicate as lace.

If I were a giant,
I’d carry you in my pocket
through wind and rain
to a warm safe place.
